Rada Chicken Recipe | Authentic Spicy Chicken Dish

If you love spicy and flavorful chicken dishes, then Rada Chicken is a must-try! This popular Indian chicken recipe is cooked with a blend of aromatic spices and crushed chicken pieces, making it different from regular chicken curry. Perfect for family dinners or special occasions, this dish pairs well with naan, roti, or steamed rice.

Ingredients for Rada Chicken:

• 500g chicken (with bones)

• 3 tbsp oil

• 2 medium onions (finely chopped)

• 2 medium tomatoes (finely chopped)

• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

• 3-4 green chilies (slit)

• 1 tsp turmeric powder

• 1 tsp red chili powder

• 1 tsp coriander powder

• ½ tsp garam masala powder

• Salt to taste

• Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

How to Make Rada Chicken:

1. Preparation: Wash and clean the chicken pieces. Pat them dry.

2. Cook Onions: Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

3. Add Spices: Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes. Add green chilies, turmeric, red chili, and coriander powder. Mix well.

4. Add Tomatoes: Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft and oil separates.

5. Crush Chicken: Traditionally, chicken is slightly crushed or minced (called ‘Rada’) before adding. Add chicken pieces and mix well with masala.

6. Cook: Cover and cook on medium heat for 10-12 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.

7. Finish: Add garam masala and fresh coriander. Mix well and serve hot.
