For the Pork:
• 300 g boneless pork (cut into 1-inch cubes)
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp black pepper
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp corn flour
• 2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
• Oil for deep frying
For the Sweet & Sour Sauce:
• 3 tbsp tomato ketchup
• 2 tbsp vinegar
• 2 tbsp sugar
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• ½ cup pineapple juice (optional)
• 1 tsp corn flour + 3 tbsp water (slurry)
Vegetables:
• ½ ๐ง onion (cubed)
• 1 bell pepper/๐ซ capsicum (cubed)
• ½ cup pineapple ๐ chunks (optional)
๐ฉ๐ณ Step-by-Step Cooking Method
✅ Step 1 – Marinate Pork
Mix pork cubes with salt, black pepper and soy sauce. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
✅ Step 2 – Coat & Fry
Combine corn flour and maida. Coat each pork cube in the flour mix and deep fry in hot oil until golden and crispy. Drain on tissue.
✅ Step 3 – Make Sauce
In a bowl mix ketchup, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce and pineapple juice. Heat in a pan and once it starts boiling, add corn-flour slurry. Cook till the sauce becomes thick and glossy.
✅ Step 4 – Stir-Fry Veggies
Lightly stir fry onions, capsicum and pineapple in a separate pan for 1–2 minutes.
✅ Step 5 – Combine
Add vegetables to the sauce. Finally toss in the fried pork pieces and mix until everything is evenly coated. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
