Chilli Paneer Recipe | Restaurant Style
Chilli Paneer is one of the most loved Indo-Chinese dishes, served both as a starter and a side dish. With its crispy paneer cubes tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce, it’s a must-have at parties, restaurants, or even for a quick homemade treat. The best part is that you can make it easily at home with simple ingredients.
Whether you like it dry as a starter or gravy style with fried rice and noodles, this Chilli Paneer recipe will give you that authentic restaurant-style taste.
Ingredients
For Frying Paneer:
• 250g Paneer (cottage cheese) – cut into cubes
• 3 tbsp Cornflour
• 2 tbsp All-purpose flour (Maida)
• ½ tsp Black pepper powder
• Salt to taste
• Water (as required)
• Oil (for frying)
For Sauce:
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1 tbsp Garlic (finely chopped)
• 1 tbsp Ginger (finely chopped)
• 1 Onion (cut into cubes)
• 1 Capsicum (green, red, yellow – cubed)
• 2 Green chilies (slit)
• 2 tbsp Soy sauce
• 1 tbsp Red chili sauce
• 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
• 1 tsp Vinegar
• ½ tsp Black pepper powder
• 1 tsp Cornflour (mixed in 2 tbsp water)
• Salt as needed
• Spring onion (for garnish)
Step 1: Frying Paneer
1. In a bowl, mix cornflour, all-purpose flour, salt, pepper, and little water to make a smooth batter.
2. Coat paneer cubes in the batter and deep fry until golden and crispy.
3.Drain on tissue paper and keep aside.
Step 2: Preparing the Sauce
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a wok. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a few seconds.
2. Add onion and capsicum cubes, stir-fry on high flame for 2 minutes (keep them crunchy).
3.Add soy sauce, chili sauce, tomato ketchup, vinegar, pepper, and salt. Mix

Step 3: Tossing Paneer
1. Add fried paneer cubes to the sauce.
2. Toss well so that paneer gets coated with the spicy tangy sauce.
3. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
